The New Zealand Geothermal Association (NZGA) is a national, non‑profit organisation representing Aotearoa’s geothermal community — including operators, researchers, engineers, consultants, iwi partners, and regulators. NZGA works to advance the sustainable development of geothermal resources and to strengthen New Zealand’s position as a global leader in geothermal science, engineering, and operations.
The association provides sector leadership, supports knowledge sharing, and fosters collaboration across industry and government. Through initiatives such as NZ Geothermal Week, technical seminars, and sector reports, NZGA helps build capability and connect practitioners across the geothermal value chain.
As a partner association for the Pressure Equipment Workshop, NZGA highlights the strong links between geothermal operations and pressure equipment design, inspection, and safety — ensuring that geothermal perspectives are represented within New Zealand’s wider pressure equipment community.
